Ordering Each page has a PayPal order button for products and accessories. We do invite you to drop us an email or call with your specific questions or needs. These buttons do not reflect any sales promotions that might be running so be sure to call or email your needs so we can calculate the total correctly. We like to do everything we can to get you what you want. Since every tank is built to order with nothing in stock, every tank is pre-paid to secure a position on the build schedule. It usually takes about 2-4 weeks from time of payment to shipment depending on the backlog. Due to this we prefer receiving and processing checks, either personal or business, or direct bank account transfers from PayPal instead of credit cards. For international customers the direct bank account transfers from PayPal is the preferred method. The building process allows for the check to clear in time. We can take credit cards but we are not in the business of financing product so for this convenience we pass on the charge fees to the customer. Since we do not do a massive volume of CC orders the rate is about 4%. Shipping
Typically, shipping is done using FedEx ground. For faster shipments in the U.S., Express mail is the most economical. European orders are typically sent U.S. Express mail and is also the most economical. West of the U.S.A., DB Schenker is typically the most economical air freight available.
Repairs If you should damage your Fuelcel repairs can be made in most all instances. Generally if 30% of the exterior surface or other structurally critical areas are damaged it could be considered totaled. Repair charges typically run about $100 to $500. The average is about $250. Repairs are done using the same materials the tank is made from insuring structural integrity and fuel resistance. Emergency repairs at the track for small things can be done using a JB Weld type of two part epoxy after roughly sanding the area and drying it of any fuel. Shipping charges are the customers responsibility both ways, turnaround time is pretty quick during the season, a couple of days to a week. *Lifetime Warranty
Every effort is made to insure that your new FuelCel is leak free. Although every precaution is taken in the manufacture of your new FuelCel, in-house testing procedures cannot reproduce the dynamic conditions of the installation on the motorcycle. Under certain conditions of vibration, heat and gasoline, a minute pinhole can develop in very rare cases that escape our detection. *This warranty covers the repair of the tank and not the cost of painting should a leak occur after painting. To avoid this potential problem it is highly recommended to do the following procedures first. At this time no apparent degradation has been observed using Ethanol blended fuels with our construction materials.
CONFIRMING THE TANK PRIOR TO PAINTING. The outer surface of tank is sprayed with a thick coating of catalyzed polyester primer. THIS BUFF TAN COLOR MUST NOT BE SANDED THROUGH. Underneath this tan layer is a white epoxy primer, DO NOT sand through this white primer as the structural matrix is just below it. Sanding through the white primer can cause leaks to occur, especially around the bottom edges of the tank. If your tank has a place for the pump to bolt on, IE: 999-749, GSXR, 1098, etc. DO NOT PAINT OR PRIMER THE WHITE PRIMER AREAS. This can cause the pump to not seal. These areas are precision molded within thousands of an inch and must be maintained as is, also DO NOT SCRATCH these surfaces. Install all necessary plumbing and hardware for the mounting on the bike, then fuel it to capacity and run at least half of it through by running the engine BEFORE PAINTING the tank. Following above procedure first, will greatly help avoid any costly re-painting repair.
